Collecting Back to School Supplies
As we near the start of a new school year, many teachers and school kids will be in need of basic school supplies. One of SIA Federation’s pillars is education, and SIKC is following that initiative by collecting school supplies at our next business meeting on August 21st. Joins us! And help us continue our work to empower and help educate our young girls in the Kansas City area.
Business Meeting – July
This month we are excited to hear from Kimberly Paul, Director of Community Programs from Safehome. She will share information about the organization, who they serve that aligns with our mission, and how we can contribute. While holding the business portion of this meeting, we will make no sew blankets to send back with Kimberly. These blankets are will be gifts to new residents and their children. 2024 SIA Convention in Bellevue, WA
. Member Mysti Meiers just returned from this year’s SIA Biennium Convention in Bellevue, WA. She spent three and half days networking and learning how our local impact makes global waves. There were 19 countries represented, and countless regions and clubs. Mysti was also able to connect with her South Central Region members while she attended convention.
