This is a life-transforming program, founded in 1972, that has distributed more than $41million in education awards around the world to 41,000 women. This allows these women the opportunity to further their education and provide a better life for themselves and their families.
By empowering women to change their lives, the award has paved the way for new generations of independent, educated, and financially secure women and families, who in turn give back to their communities and countries.
This signature program to Soroptimist clubs worldwide, gives the award each year to women who are the primary financial provider to their families and enrolled in a higher education or technical program. SIKC award winners are also eligible for a LYD award at the regional and international levels. This offers additional opportunities to continue to achieve their career goals.
