Soroptimist Kansas City Foundation was established in 1954 as the Soroptimist Welfare Fund after our club assisted many families displaced by the 1951 flood of the Kaw and Missouri rivers.
The charitable organization gives grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations whose projects meet Soroptimist objectives:
- To improve the lives of women and girls in Kansas City, the region and around the world;
- To help children with special needs; and
- To help needy families with disaster relief and shelter.
